Joanna Gleason to Lead Roundabout's Sons of the Prophet Off-Broadway

Tony winner Joanna Gleason will star as Gloria in the Roundabout Theater Company's presentation of  Stephen Karam's new play, Sons of the Prophet. The show begins performances September 30 ahead of an October 20 opening night at off-Broadway's Laura Pels Theatre. Peter Dubois will direct the limited engagement, which runs through December 23. Further casting will be announced at a later date.

Sons of the Prophet follows a Lebanese family in Pennsylvania who never loses their sense of humor as they struggle with crazy bosses, medical mysteries and other issues.

Gleason received a Tony Award for Into the Woods. She also scored additional nominations for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Joe Egg. Her other Broadway credits include Nick & Nora, Social Security, The Real Thing and I Love My Wife.
